Product Description

This is a quirky Victorian novelty ‘Port’ ship’s lantern inkwell made by Samuel Jacob and hallmarked for London 1900.

The silver inkwell is beautifully made in the form of a ‘Port’ ship’s lantern, with a red glass lens at the front, a hinged top with a swing handle and an internal tubular clear glass well. The word ‘Port’ is engraved at the top of the inkwell.
