Product Description

This is a fabulous cast silver commemorative wine label engraved ‘Bourbon’, made to celebrate the coronation of Queen Elizabeth in 1953, made by famous silversmith Leslie Durbin.

It was commissioned by a leading London wine merchant as a gift to favoured customers.

The label is curved and rectangular in shape, with a central peak topped with the Royal Crown and with wonderful lion supporters on each side.

Leslie Durbin is one of the most celebrated silversmiths of the twentieth century and was Omar Ramsden’s apprentice and his students included Gerald Benney.
