Product Description

This is a lovely Liberty and Co silver butter dish with knife.

The dish is hallmarked for Birmingham 1935 and the knife Birmingham 1937.

The dish is adorned with five floral roundels with a beautiful leaf design engraving in between.It has its original glass liner.

This is a wonderful example of the work of Bernard Cuzner, one of the finest silvermiths who worked for Liberty during this period.

Bernard Cuzner 1877 – 1956. He trained at the Vittoria Street School of Jewellery and Silversmithing where he was influenced by Robert Catterson Smith and Arthur Gaskin. He went on to teach at the school from 1900 onwards and worked for W.H Haseler and Liberty and Co.
