The Details
Materials Gold-filled (marked)
Age Edwardian
Condition The chain is in good antique condition, with slight signs of tarnishing, particularly on the spring ring and dog clips. Both the spring ring and dog clips function securely and smoothly. The chain itself has a dark rose gold tone consistent with its age. I have preserved its current color, but please feel free to let me know if you would like to lighten it slightly through polishing
Size When opened and worn as a necklace, it measures 45.3 cm in length. The large spring ring has a diameter of 2 cm, the dog clips are 2.4 cm each, and the decorative links measure 2 cm each
☞ The pendant is for display only. It is listed separately
Antique Doublé (Marked) Albert Watch Chain with Spring Ring & Two Dog Clips
This is a gold-filled antique double Albert watch chain in a dark rose gold tone. The chain features a unique combination of three distinct link styles: a curb chain, two decorative links, and four pierced links. It also includes a large spring ring and two dog clips. Due to its generous length, this piece can also be worn as a necklace, with the large spring ring offering a versatile spot to attach pendants, lockets, fobs, or charms.
The chain is stamped with “Double,” “GJ,” and an arrow symbol, which was commonly used in German jewelry to indicate a gold-filled (doublé) item.
