Antique (c. 1910s) Glass & Marcasite 800 Silver Locket with a Bow
This lovely antique pendant features an oval shape with a striking blue glass centerpiece, beautifully showcasing a delicate floral motif. Crafted in silver during the early 20th century (circa 1910s), the bail is marked 800 for silver purity.
The charming flower design is made up of tiny marcasite stones that add a lovely sparkle. At the top of the pendant, there’s a cute bow-shaped decoration, also set with marcasite stones, connecting the pendant to the loop for attaching to your favorite chain. The border features a simple beaded edge that frames the central design nicely.
Marcasite jewelry was quite popular in Germany during the 19th and early 20th centuries, and this piece is a beautiful example of that trend!
