Antique Art Nouveau Jugendstil Round Photo Locket
This is a large antique Art Nouveau gold-filled floral photo locket likely from the Jugendstil period, dating from the late 19th to early 20th century.
The locket is round and features a clean, smooth surface with a minimalistic design. It is engraved with a a simple floral motif within a circle and a curved line with delicate decorative elements extending from the circle. On front, it has a small, centrally placed blue stone, possibly a sapphire or blue glass. The edge of the pendant has a fine beaded border, while the back side is plain.
The minimalistic design, organic floral motif, and use of a single colored stone align well with the Jugendstil period's aesthetics.
It opens to hold two photos.
