Antique Art Nouveau Gold-Filled Heart Locket with an Engraving
This is an antique Art Nouveau/Jugendstil heart-shaped charm, made of foam gold (vergoldet), likely dating from the late 19th to the early 20th century.
The front is adorned with delicate engraved lines forming an abstract geometric pattern and a beaded border around the edge. At the center of the locket, there is a faceted stone, likely a garnet. The back of the locket features "JP" inscription, possibly the initials of the owner or a loved one.
It is a sweet piece of a sentimental jewelry!
