Antique Art Nouveau (c. 1900s) Doublé Pendant with Garnet
This charming and romantic antique Art Nouveau/Jugendstil locket is made of doublé (rolled gold) with a smooth, polished surface. The front is beautifully engraved with a floral motif featuring two blooming roses and delicate leaves. Each rose has a small red stone—possibly a ruby or garnet—set right in the center.
A dainty beaded border frames the design, adding a lovely finishing touch. The combination of the floral motif, intricate engraving, and those vibrant red stones is a great example of the style that was popular in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
This locket has a bit of weight to it, so it feels sturdy and well-made.
